Oh, man, I LOVE Tina Fey. I want to BE Tina Fey. I also LOVE YOU and respect your opinion SO much. But I think Obama is the better choice. I think speeches and rallies are important. I believe without the emotional appeal that gets people excited and involved, it will be much harder to change the country.

But I LOVE Hillary Clinton too. Because if she gets the nomination or not, she is the one who made people believe a woman really can be president. We'll never go back.

Tina Fey. Tina Fey supports Hillary. If that's not enough to get you to vote for her, then really review your man's voting record. Why would he vote "present" on a proposal to ban sex shops near schools? And is it really okay to borrow words from someone else in a speech about the integrity of words? Just asking. Tina and I think he needs to ripen a little. Hillary is the best choice.

Yes We Can! I agree with all 3 points. I want a person who believes in the American people. A person that knows we are capable. We are independent yet one. We are still the great America that began centuries ago. Please check out Ron Paul's site. http://www.ronpaul2008.com/
He believes the American people CAN and WILL and has the policies to do it!

Sincerely,

Thanks for the comment, Chris.

When I was younger, I used to think logic could explain everything. Now I believe that that is only the half of it. Without emotion, passion and leadership, the logic can just sit there and go nowhere. We aren't computer chips that can be programmed, we are humans that want to be moved.

For the last 7 years, I have lived with my head in the sand, hoping against hope that our current President would have the sense to shut his trap and not make yet another verbal misstep. Every time I listen to him, his obvious discomfort in speaking publicly literally causes me physical pain. It makes me unable, on a psychological level, to believe anything he says. I feel like putting a sign in my front yard that reads, "Anyone Else for President."

I want someone in the White House who I can believe in. Sadly, at this point, it almost matters more that I perceive that I believe them than that they actually mean what they say.

I think sometimes that we do not give enough credence to the power and importance of oration. It is imperative that our leaders be capable of not only bringing creative solutions to the table but also of being able to rally us behind them to work towards those goals. Ultimately, what great leaders like FDR and Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. were able to do was to make us believe in ourselves.

So, yes, on the campaign trail right now, there is a lot of rhetoric and a lot of posturing, and not so many concrete ideas, but what I see in Obama is natural grace and poise and charisma. These are so authentic in appearance that it makes me want to believe him--desperately, and there is tremendous power in that. Coupled with creative ideas, I do believe that this power can bring great change.
