Graceful Parenting in Austin

Remember the Family Circus cartoon during the holidays, when the kids would write the cartoons from their perspective (well, sort of)? During the holidays, Blue Eyes and Noel are going to take over this blog for a while (not just sort of, but really). I’ve asked that they keep it graceful, more or less, but besides that I have no idea what will happen.

I’m going to spend some time contemplating my split personality, with one side that says if I want to be a blog I’d better come up with a compelling and unique story that has meaning for the reader instead of these random, intermittent accidents of writing. It is like I mean to paint, but I don’t have time so I spill some paint on the floor and call that art. That side fights with the other side, which says Art - Schmart - who has time for Art? I’m having a new baby in two months, Blue Eyes is out of work, the house is under construction and my job says lets avoid more layoffs by working longer and harder, so lets just get realistic and stop this ridiculous blogging exercise! Oh, and there is a third part, the part that says I contemplate my blog about every three months, and if I would do less Thinking and more Doing, then I might have time to blog after all.
